Monday, November 19, 2018

PENS GAME #19: PENGUINS VS. SABRES

Back home again after yet another tough loss in Ottawa, the Penguins face the Buffalo Sabres at PPG Paints Arena tonight. The Pens losing streak has moved to 8 of their last 9 games and 3 losses in a row.

Pittsburgh Penguins (7-8-3) vs. Buffalo Sabres (12-6-2) at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA at 7PM (EST)

The Penguins are still at the bottom of the barrel, last place in the Eastern Conference. And now they welcome the Buffalo Sabres to town an especially relevant opponent given their histories. The Sabres are on a 5 game win streak and 4th in the East. They're team trending upward and one that was born out of pieces from the Pens organization. It's a "master and apprentice" match-up with the apprentice Sabres coming in hot and the formerly masterful Penguins at their lowest point in years.
